One View Financial Statements
For customer who have OneView for the EnterpriseOne Financial module, you now have the ability to create book quality financial statements or use the pre-built financial statements provided. The functionality provided includes specific formatting, calculations and totals to support the needs of financial reporting. This is a nice feature for end-users to create their own financial statement reports, including balance sheets, and income statements.
Oracle is delivering software updates for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne addressing new joint standards for recognition of revenue issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB).
The effective date for public entities is expected to start with reporting periods beginning on or after December 15, 2017. The effective date for nonpublic entities will be deferred for one year to annual reporting periods beginning after December 15, 2018 and interims beginning after December 15, 2019. Early adoption is permitted one year earlier than these dates.
The new reporting requirements are extensive and require changes to financial systems and processes to collect the necessary data—even if the application of the new accounting standard results in no significant change in the reported revenue amounts.
New Tools to enable your business to focus on what it does best, (your business) not IT
The development team at JD Edwards has provided a number of strategic initiatives to better serve customers and allow their organization to spawn “citizen developers”.
- User Defined Objects – (UDO)

User Defined Objects
User Defined Objects (UDO) are web objects created using the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne web interface. You can create UDOs for your own use, view UDOs others have created, or share your UDOs so others can view and use them. Your ability to perform any of these tasks depends on the permissions you and others have been granted by your administrator.

Simplified Upgrade Process
This upgrade process allows customers on EnterpriseOne 9.1 or 9.0 (update 2) to upgrade to EnterpriseOne 9.2 by applying only the incremental changed objects. This upgrade “uplift” methodology reduces the amount of code/objects that are changed during the upgrade, therefore reducing the time needed to retrofit and test when upgrading.
If you are considering upgrading to EnterpriseOne 9.2 here are some things you may want to know, and new features you may find interesting.
